Sprint Nav Mini extension error

Hello!
We are trying to enable the extension for the sprint nav mini which is connected to our BlueOS enabled ROV. The ROV and the sprint nav mini sensor are all in the same subnet (192.168.yy.xx). But for some weird reason, every time we enter the extension via the BlueOS/manually it says the following error:

“Response not received. Try restarting the extension. gRPC status message: Response closed without headers”

We have tried restarting the whole system and the extension itself. But every time this error message pops up. (the port and the message type was set up using the integration instructions and We can see the HNAV data coming through the port as well.)

Hi @jmrobsam -

Welcome to the forums!

It sounds like the extension you’re using is crashing, and not starting up properly.

What version of BlueOS are you using? Hopefully the latest stable, 1.4.2 currently.

Can you share how you installed the extension, and the specific model number of the navigation sensor? Reaching out to Sonardyne for assistance is likely a good step…

Hello! Yes everything is up to date. we followed this integration instructions:

Everyhing was set up as explained. We also reached out to SonarDyne. Hopefully we will get a response!

Hi @jmrobsam -

You mention the IP is

To clarify, yy should be “2” correct? With .2.1 being your laptop, and .2.2 the vehicle Raspberry Pi. The subnet mask should also be 255.255.255.0.

Its actually not 2. We are using the 192.168.87.xxx. Everything is there. Including the raspberry pi, the laptop, the sonardyne sensor and so on. And yes, the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.

@jmrobsam The last time I used the extension (about a year ago), it didn’t support custom IP addresses yet. I confirmed this with a Sonardyne engineer — you had to use the default IP address

Thats good to know. I am putting the ROV in the water today. I will try to keep SD in original ip and see what happens! Thanks!
