Sonarview Compability Issues with BlueOS

I was running Sonarview via the BlueOS desktop, previously running the 1.3.1 version of BlueOS, an unknown version of SonarView, 1.5.x version of firmware on our Cerulian Surveyor 240-16 MBES.

Another team member installed Nortek Nucleus version 2.0.3 since then, which may have no correlation but is worth of note.

Since then, Upon opening BlueOS after some time SonarView is no longer installed on device for whatever reason, so the newest SonarView version (1.13.24-beta) was installed to device. Additionally, we updated the firmware version of the Surveyor to have new data package ID’s available to us (version 1.10.4).

The sonarview disconnects and says ‘page not found’ after a short period of time, after connecting to our Cerulean Surveyor 240-16 MBES. The Sonarview extension then removes itself from the side bar, and is only accessible if you restart the extension via the BlueOS interface.

Attempts to resolve the issue were conducted in the form of updating BlueOS to Version 'Latest" (15af2185), but the error of sonarview remains.

Hi @djason_todd -
Welcome to the forums!

First off, you’ll want to completely uninstall the SonarView Extension, and make sure you’re using BlueOS 1.4.2 STABLE - you may be on a development branch that is unstable. You should then be able to install the SonarView extension, and the stable version should not give you any issues…
Running the software as an extension is preferrable, as it logs to the vehicle and so data quality is not a function of the quality of your connection to the vehicle…

That seems to have done the trick, thank you very much!
