Can someone tell me the exact size of the O rings for the cable penetrators? I’m based outside of the US but I need some soon so I’m looking to buy them in my home country. However, I don’t know the exact sizes as they are not mentioned here: https://www.bluerobotics.com/store/connectors/penetrator-o-ring-set-r1/
Hi James,
The o-rings that we use for cable penetrators are size 013. Here is a link to a drawing with the dimensions of the penetrator o-rings.
Best,
Jonathan
What durometer? The McMaster link no longer goes to a drawing. Is this the part? McMaster-Carr
And are these the same for the radial o-rings for the switch and vent plug?
Thank you.
Hi @mmtech, welcome to the forum
Please refer to the O-rings section of our Technical Reference, as well as the product pages of the products you’re interested in. Feel free to follow up if the information you’re after is not in those places
Well, that did not help. I am more confused. It appears what I have is discontinued? Except it’s not? The part I am trying to get spares for are these:
2" diameter, part numbers WTE2-M-LOCKING-FLANGE-CAP-BLANK and WTE2-M-LOCKING-FLANGE-CAP-2-HOLE
This, https://bluerobotics.com/store/watertight-enclosures/2-3-4-series/spare-o-ring-set/?attribute_wte-series=50+mm+(2") by the way, was what I thought was correct, but it says I am using the old end caps? And the link in that page goes nowhere.
I think I want a 2-030 70A durometer?
Thanks!
The forum post we’re discussing in is about penetrator o-rings, but your link is for our locking-series enclosure end caps. Are you saying you want O-rings for the products you were asking about originally (that can be installed in the M10 penetrator holes in all of our enclosure end caps, regardless of the enclosure size), or are you asking about O-rings specifically for our 2" enclosure flange (that form the seal between the flange and the enclosure walls)?
I’m not sure what you’re saying or asking here. That’s a link to a spare O-ring set for our 2" locking enclosure flange, and it doesn’t say the person reading the page is using anything in particular, it just mentions that the O-rings for the locking series enclosure flanges are not necessarily the same O-rings that are used for the older non-locking series enclosure flanges.
I’m not sure which link you’re referring to - could you copy it here?
Hi @mmtech,
If you ever need information about a product, you should start with the technical details section of that product’s page.
In the Watertight Enclosure End Caps, Domes and Flange Caps page you linked, in the technical details section, you’ll see a table for the flange caps. In that table, you’ll see a column for the radial seal O-ring information, with a link to the correct replacement O-ring set.
Additionally, if you follow the link to the O-ring set, in the technical details on that page you’ll find more information about the O-rings, including the hardness, which is 70A.
Hope that helps!
