How do you set the survey altitude in Cockpit? It only seems to be an option for ‘add simple path’

Hi @JohnH -
Are you using Cockpit with an aerial drone or an ROV running ArduSub?
We’ve primarily been focused on Cockpit use for Auto missions with the BlueBoat and ArduRover, so apologies that isn’t currently easily possible. You’d have to create your waypoints, and edit each one’s altitude.
If you make your mission plan, save it to file, and edit in a text editor using find/replace to replace the 0 altitude with your desired altitude, that’s a potential workaround for now - just import the edited file to use.
@rafael.lehmkuhl has been made aware and will be including a fix in a future update!
Thanks!
Its for a bluerov 2 heavy with pinger. Ideally the altitude could be set by the pinger.
Hi @JohnH -
When you say “set by the pinger”… do you mean the altitude the vehicle is at when armed and placed into Auto mode should be the mission altitude?
Or do you mean you’d like the altitude to follow the terrain as the vehicle navigates, based on the ping singlebeam altitude measurement? It is possible to follow terrain when driving manually around with SurfTrack mode, and there is active development to bring that feature to Auto and Guided mode… all in due time!
I’ve just opened a PR adding support for setting the height of surveys. Should be on next beta.
Thanks for mentioning it Tony and thanks for the report John!
