Curious what other sensors people are using with the Raspberry Pi/Pixhawk configuration… we have a temp and pressure… but we are looking to take our ROV out to dive shipwrecks… so what are people adding? Curiosity this Saturday night.
So far I’ve added a larger compass with GPS for logging initial surface position. I plan on adding a proximity sensor sonar next. I’d like to add a real sonar and an acoustic positioning transponder, but so far none of those exist in a diy inexpensive form.
Someday I might want to see if I can mount a metal detecting coil far enough from the ROV motors to actually be useful, but that might require the bigger rov, which needs bigger thrusters.
