when we were pool testing our ROV recently we had a leaking issue in it. And to debug/ isolate the penetrator which caused the issue we had to remove every single one of them. So, I was wondering are there any ways that we can isolate which penetrator caused the leak?. We do have the leak sensor by Blue Robotics inside. Looking for suggestions to avoid these problem in the future
Hi @Ferbin -
This comes up often! A positive-pressure leak test is often a fast way of finding the leak. Was it a loose penetrator or a missing an o-ring that caused your issue?
There are various water “leak” detect chemicals and paper that you can buy to see if there is fluid residue etc. You would have to remove the bulkhead with the penetrators and use the leak detect on each one to find the culprit.
