hai everyone, one of my QGC recorded video (file size 380MB) showing an error " This file contains no playable stream". other videos working fine. how can i fix this?
Which player are you using ? Can you try VLC or a different one ?
i tried VLC as well as default Ubuntu Video player. both are not able to play the stream
I have had this error as well and haven’t been able to repair or run the file.
Hi,
Any update on this issue ?
Thank you.
@sudheeshk which file format are you recording in?
The default format (Matroska, .mkv
) is generally very robust to issues/errors. I’ve previously had a corrupted file due to a power outage while recording directly to .mp4
, which I managed to fix using this free command line program, but I’d suggest first trying to play the file in VLC (it has a bunch of auto-correction/repair functionality built in). If that doesn’t work but you don’t want to use the Windows command line (or if your file isn’t an mp4, which is all that program operates on) then you can try one of the various other available programs/services for video recovery/repair (note that many of them cost money if the corruption goes beyond what VLC can fix automatically).
