Power Sense Module Current Sensing IC

Hi, I’ve been trying to use the schematics on the website for the power sense module to recreate my own. The ACS781 is unavailable everywhere, and I was wondering what the name of the new chip you guys are using is. I’m a newbie, so I have a challenging time finding an alternative.

Hi @cerealkiller2527,

I asked about this internally and was told we’re ordering in bulk and dealing with the relevant lead times, so there isn’t a “new chip” that we’re using.

Out of interest, are you

  1. trying to add power sensing to some larger module that’s combined with other components
  2. trying to get an individually manufactured equivalent to reduce costs for your own vehicles
  3. trying to create a lower cost alternative that you can then sell to others, or
  4. something else?
