Ping Viewer Next Layout in Cockpit

I really love the addition of Ping Viewer Next, I do however find one small issue with it in Cockpit. When it is set to 360 degree scan, the buttons arrayed around the scope align nicely, when changing to a different scan sector angle it makes a pigs ear of the alignment. Examples:

360 degree sector

180 Degree sector

60 degree sector

30 degree sector

I have played with all of the variables within the cockpit ‘edit interface’ options, but alignment remains like this.

I believe you are one of the first users trying it on field, besides our internal testers :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Ping Viewer Next has actually received a major UI update that has not been pushed yet. Most if not all of those issues were solved. @patrickelectric will have more info on that!

Hi @3dMB,

Can you please go in the BlueOS extensions page and update to the latest version of Ping-Viewer 2 ?
The latest version is: 1.0.0-beta.24

I am now running 1.0.0beta26, and the new UI is far better. The still have an issue with transparency in cockpit.. Every time I open cockpit, the ping viewer next plugin is fully solid, I then change the transparency so I may have some situational awareness of that area of the camera, then when I re-open cockpit, the transparency is set to solid again.

see linked screen recording example

Great to hear!

It seems this is a known issue - thanks for re-flagging it

As a workaround it should be possible to right click the widget while in Edit Mode, and change the transparency there instead. It should be persistent after a few seconds (for Cockpit to sync the settings update).
