Hi All,
I’m getting started using a new OTPS power system on one of my vehicles. I’ve discovered, as the OTPS manual mentions, that it introduces some interference in the onboard systems that messes with I2C communications. Outland includes a ferrite core that you can route the depth sensor’s cable through which seems to solve the problem for that device, but for other I2C-using boards that I need to use I seem to be out of luck. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar issues and what you might have done to solve them. It seems like a fully isolated 5V supply for the RPi and Navigator would solve to problem, no?
To be honest, isolation modules cannot effectively reduce interference from IIC, and some high-frequency noise interference can still be conducted through isolation modules. I suggest trying EMC filtering circuit
