Intermittent Connection Loss

Hi all,

I have a recent BlueROV with Navigator. It is new; having been assembled, tested and shipped to our inspection location. When assembled, we did notice an occasional stutter in the video feed, but not enough to consider it problematic. However we are now experiencing repeated loss of signal the re-establishes itself after several seconds, then drops out again. This repeats over and over, and we cannot launch like this.

We have changed the tether to rule that out, but the issue persists.

Any guidance for troubleshooting would be most welcome.

Hi @RickMoss1 -

I’d recommend running a “ping 192.168.2.2” command in your computer’s terminal to monitor the vehicle connection - does this drop out when you lose connection to the vehicle? Do you lose video, telemetry, or both?

Does the green link light on your topside blue FXTI box stay illuminated?

What BlueOS version are you using?

Have you tried a different computer, usb port, and usb cable to rule those out?

Do you have any payloads installed on your BlueROV2 or is it stock?
