Improving video quality (higher resolution, less compression, ...)

Hi @Algetun,

Adjusting the camera settings to suit the operating conditions can provide substantial improvements to the clarity.

Beyond that, this comment is likely worth a read for some potential augmentations and alternatives.

Most choices involve some form of compromise, especially where hardware is concerned, and even more so when there’s a pipeline involved for data compression and transmission. For sensors in general it’s preferable to have higher resolution and better quality data, but getting that may be physically challenging and/or prohibitively expensive, and sometimes just hasn’t been developed yet.

We are working on an improved camera, but don’t have a set release date for it yet. Whether other options are worthwhile is not something we can decide for you - e.g. we have previously done a full cinema camera integration, but that’s likely not a great use of funds or effort for users who aren’t creating feature films.
