We encounter serious issues with the ROV. With the ROV being perfectly still in the water, the horizon is moving all over the place, and the compass is jumping 180 deg. After a while the tether turn has reached 40, even if the ROV has been standing perfectly still at the same spot. We did reeboot both topside PC and restarted the ROV several times. No changes.
has anyone experienced the same issue and if so, how did you manage to solve it? See video to get an idea
Hi @SDI -
That looks like either a bad compass / accelerometer calibration, or the vehicle was in close proximity to a large magnetic field to me - perhaps from high (electrical) current flow?
With the ROV stationary on land, calibrating the Gyro can also help this (only possible from within BlueOS, Vehicle Setup.)
