Encountered a problem with my M200 motor. It has been used a few times in saltwater environment (Kayak). Always soaked in fresh water and running it a little to get the salt out after each use. It is now out of warranty. The dealer in my location is unhelpful and almost non-existent except for selling me the motor.
The motor’s beep is now extremely soft that I have to place it close to my ear to hear it. It initialize itself fine (with the usual beeps) but is unable to spin when I activate it. It tries to spin but could not. I can spin it freely with my hands, so there is no significant object obstructing it.
I am unable to remove the set screw with 2mm hex to inspect further. What could be the problem?
Sorry to hear you’re having an issue with your M200 motor.
Assuming you’re using our Basic ESC, is the motor providing all 5 expected beeps on startup, or just some of them?
Is there a specific behaviour here? It’s unclear whether the screw cannot be rotated because it is so tight or the hex inset is stripped, or if the thread is stripped and the screw is spinning freely in the hole.
As a general principle, this community forum can help brainstorm ideas for why something might be going wrong, how to integrate things, or digging into public models and source code, but dedicated support for product problems is best handled through the product supplier.
In the case of Blue Robotics components, you can use the dedicated product problems form (which is linked to from the Resources tab in the forum header bar, or can be found in the Blue Robotics help center)

I’m not using the basic ESC. But yes, the 5 expected beeps and the 2 different tones at the end.

It is very tight, the thread is a little stripped as well. I have tried oiling but didn’t help.
