GPS Auto Mode and Recording Issues

Hello,

I have been trying to take my BlueBoat out to do Autonomous Sonar recording mapping of a local lake. There has been issues with trying to get all functions working properly at once. Originally with the Base/default BlueBoat, SonarView, and QGC setups; I was able to send out the boat and autonomously record sonar data. However, it did not record any gps data to sonarview, so I updated all firmware’s to the latest editions as of October 2025. This fixed the issue with no gps data, but then Auto mode stopped working in QGC as I keep getting ARHS no home error and critical EKF variance error. I reset all parameters and recalibrated all sensors multiple times, and the AHRS will sometimes go away, but the EKF variance still remains.

With the gps data showing correctly in SonarView, I figured to at least try a manually driven survey to record some sonar data with gps data linked. When starting the recording in sonarview, the live data shows the correct gps position. However, when downloading the file afterwards the gps coordinates do not show the same position and are basically invalid gps coordinates.

I have tried running through the setup guide on Blue Robotics website multiple times, default parameters, etc.

I’m wondering if there is some other/updated specific setup procedure I can follow to get all three, GPS, SonarView, Automode working together? My specific setup is the dual-Omniscan with navigator.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

Thanks,

-Zac

Pretty surprising that the data would look good live, but not on replay. Please do open a support ticket at Cerulean and upload the svlog file. We’ll have a look in the morning.
