DVL A50: connection issues

Hi,

I have a BlueROV2 - R3 version. I have mounted a Waterlinked DVL A50 to the ROV. The DVL is turnin on with a blinking green light, so I assume the connections are fine.

ArduSub version: 4.1.1
Companion version: 0.0.31

The issue arises when I am on Companion’s Waterlinked setup. The message I receive in the DVL status is “Looking for Waterlinked DVL-A50 (192.168.2.95)”

I am using Ubuntu 20.04 so I tried the following command: “ping 192.168.2.95” in the terminal and it shows that packets are being recieved from the IP address.

I am confused on how it is not getting detcted for the Companion. I have followed all the steps as listed given here.

Kindly let me know what can be done.

Thanks!

Hi @kjoshi,

I believe this is a firmware compatibility issue - our old Companion software does not support the latest Water Linked DVL API, so cannot work correctly with the latest DVL firmware:

Hi @EliotBR ,

Thanks a lot for your response. It is working now.

I updated my Raspberry Pi from Companion to BlueOS 1.0.1 and followed the steps you had given to install v2.1.0 on the DVL A50. I am able to view the DVL data on the dashboard and as JSON data as well.

Thanks a lot for your help!
