Connect two SOS Leak Sensor together

Hello

I try to connect two SOS Leak Sensor together, i use a y-split in main tube and from main tube to battery tube i use custom cabel which i have made, the length of the cable is about 30 inches.

Problem there is a dim light on both SOS Leak Sensor board when i connect two SOS Leak Sensor board together and on the QGroundControl is coming up leak detected.(because it is a dim light on both SOS Leak Sensor board.

The cable is too long? resistance? disturbance ?

How to fix it?

Can you please draw a wiring diagram?

There are a two options that come to mind: you can configure more than one leak detector (ie, two leak detectors on two individual channels on the pixhawk. Or you can add as many leak probes as you want in parallel to a single leak detector.

Hello

I use only one channels on the pixhawk AUX6, everything is working if i use the yellow short cord.

Hi Roar,

Have you tested them separately recently? Can you unplug one at a time and see if one device is failing?

-Rusty

yes,both of them work.

If you look at picture 1, i have use the yellow short cord, and there is no red low light. both of them work.

If you look at picture 2 and 3 is not working, its coming up red dim light on both of them.

There must be something with the long cable 30 inches?

I have now figured out the cable from main tube to battery tube is the problem.
Power cables and signal cables is same cable, sow you will get disturbance from power cables 75 volt.

Need to use shielded cable or two separate cables.

I have now try to use a shielded cable with Power cables and signal cables in same cable but is not working, once you connect 75 volts the SOS Leak Sensor board shows red light, remove the 75 volts, is working

Solution is to use two separate cables.

Update

Fathom-X Tether Interface Board will NOT work with 75 volt DC in same wires.
(I use seabotix Tether 8.9mm all 6 wires is shielded)

I did a bandwidth testing and i get 60 upload and 18 download with 75 volt DC in same wires use to Fathom-X Tether Interface Board.

When i use two wires to 75 volt power and two wires to Fathom-X i get 60 upload and 75 download.
So need to be own cables to power 75 volt and to Fathom-X (shielded)

This also resolved the red light on the SOS leak sensor board, is working now in the battery tube.:grinning:

Will test a little bit more
