Connect ip camera to Ethernet Switch?

Hello

I have try to Connect a ip camera to port 2 on Ethernet Switch but the light is green does not blink, what does that mean?

I have try to use the browser and enter IP address 192.168.1.160 (ip camera) but can’t get anything up,not answering.

Is there something,I need to activate in BlueOS ?

Hi @an-ron

If you have the PC in the 192.168.2.X range, the camera must be in the same range.

I would change the camera to 192.168.2.160 and try again.

greetings

Hi Andres

I’m not sure if i connected camera correctly to Ethernet Switch in bluerov2.

I have connected like this:

Camera TX- to Ethernet Switch TX-
Camera TX+ to Ethernet Switch TX+
Camera RX- to Ethernet Switch RX-
Camera RX+ to Ethernet Switch RX+

or should it be like this:

camera TX - to Ethernet Switch RX-
camera TX + to Ethernet Switch RX+
camera RX - to Ethernet Switch TX-
camera RX + to Ethernet Switch TX+

That’s why I asked about the green light on Ethernet Switch.

How do I change the IP address of the camera to 192.168.2.160 ?

Hi @an-ron

If I’m not mistaken the connection is correct:

Camera TX- to Ethernet Switch TX-
Camera TX+ to Ethernet Switch TX+
Camera RX- to Ethernet Switch RX-
Camera RX+ to Ethernet Switch RX+

To change the ip, put your PC in range 1, for example:

192.168.1.10
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1

Then enter the ip of your camera in a web browser such as IE or Chrome, etc.

Example: http://192.168.1.160

It will ask you for a username and password, then go to camera settings/ethernet, or something similar.

You will see the option to change the IP and ports.

Change to rank 2, and then change your PC to rank 2 as well.

Try the camera again.

Greetings

Thank you very much, now it works.

There were many settings on the camera,do you now what best to use? (Encode type, bitrat type)
I have a memory card on the camera 256GB

I stream 1920x1080/30 fps/10000 bitrat to the surface through 160 meters tether,it works fine.

Camera has 30x Optical Zoom and is a Block Camera UHD 4K 8MP Starvis Sony IMX415 sensor.

Recordings in 4K are stored on the sd card below the camera and sd card is easy to remove from the camera.

Everything that is saved on the sd card is saved as DAT-file,strange system.

I have found out i most use mkvtoolnix to converter DAT-file to MKV movie file, after I’ve done it i can play 4K MKV movie file through VLC media player.

Haven’t figured out how to save high resolution image to the sd card.

I can’t find any pictures that I have taken in any of them DAT file only Movie in 4K.
