Companion update unavailable

Hi, I have updated QGC, but when it comes to the companion I am stuck on 00.18. No update button. Definately got wifi connection, changed wfi hub, used Iphone as hotspot. Made sure ports are open both in and out, still no button.
Can anyone suggest something? Here is the last part of the log:

Hi!
I had same problem and made it work by connecting the ROV by wire/ethernet.
That means I have a router and connect ROV and laptop to that.

Thanks for the reply Bo. I was beginning to think no one had even this problem before! Just to be sure, you used an Ethernet cable from the companion direct into the router? Then accessed the companion through your laptop?

I actually connected the ROV through tether, so from the topside fathom X board to the router.
That way you dont have to open the ROV. And laptop to the same router.
Be sure to set up the IP settings in the router.
Companion must have gateway and DNS server info.
Either by getting it from router by DHCP, or by setting it in companion.

Thanks, I will give it a try. :+1:

Further to my post about the companion not having an update button. Now resolved, turned out to be the micro sad card in the companion. New card - all fine now.
