Camera Connection to BlueOS and Cockpit

Hi Everyone!

I have bought a USB camera and tried to connect it to my ROV.

It supports H.264 encoding.

But BlueOS did not detect it and redirect it to cockpit.

I needed to create a stream but there isn’t any H.264 option in decoding part.

I tried it with other encoding option but still no camera on the cockpit.

Could you please help me about it?

I am using last version of BlueOS and cockpit.

Thanks,
Best regards

Hello @umut,

Thanks for the initial information. To help you further with this, I’m gonna need to read the mavlink-camera-manager logs.

  1. With the Raspberry Pi powered off, plug the USB camera into the Raspberry Pi
  2. Turn the Raspberry Pi on
  3. Enable Pirate Mode
  4. Go to File Browser
  5. Access system_logs, then mavlink-camera-manager, then sort the files to show the last modified first, select the ones from this boot/session (probably within a few minutes), and download them as a ZIP.
  6. Disable Pirate Mode

The video below shows the step-by-step process described above (from 3 to 6):

After this, you can upload them here or send them to my inbox.

It would also be useful if you could get me the exact camera model.

Thank you
