Built for the tough jobs

Hey John! Great job!!

Please email me with some more information about :grinning:

I haven’t really ever had a problem with the tether tangling in the thrusters and at 300lb breaking strain, I doubt that I would otherwise snap it. I am mulling over an idea at the moment where the last 1 metre of the tether is inside a slim alloy tube because I am concerned about the tether being bitten through by overly curious sharks which are part of operating in my home waters. This would have the additional benefit of making it impossible to get it tangled in the thrusters unless I drove through the uncased sections of the tether. A bit of trialling is required to find out if the idea has enough merit.

Good job, how did you isolate cable entry and exit locations

The penetrators have an axial o ring inside the cap to seal the outside of the penetrator. The penetrators have a hole just big enough to push the tip of the cable jacket after the jacket has been stripped and the inside of the penetrator is threaded 8 mm so the epoxy has something to grip against. No leaks at 30 bar.

thank you
