BlueLink 15V/24V Surface Power Supply (Gen2, MKII)

A lot has changed since shipping our first commercial SPS in 2018 'til now!

The BlueLink SPS (Surface Power System) is a drop-in upgrade to a standard Blue Robotics BlueROV2 (or similar ROVs) and replaces the entire battery housing with a shorter and lighter unit that provides from 1200-3600 Watts of continuous power. The latest in high reliability industrial power supply components are use in the subsea flatpack and the 15VDC or 24VDC output is drop-in compatible with the existing battery operated ROVs. The ruggedized SPC (Surface Power Console) with Isolated Power Output combined with a custom shielded tether provide better safety than most units in this class . The SPC case also includes a FathomX interface board preinstalled with Ethernet RJ45 connection on the side panel. Additional Ethernet or RS485/232 converters can also be integrated into the SPC to manage data streams beyond the ROV.

Very interesting!! Can you share pictures of the VPS 1200W/1800W installed on an ROV? I have a Gemini that I need to fit on my BlueROV2 but want to avoid strapping it to the top, and my case isn’t large enough for the added payload skid…

Thanks!

Steve - Here are a few images showing how our VPS can mount on a BlueROV2 to allow for an FLS to be mounted right below the camera view port. This allows the addition of an FLS without changing the frontal profile of the ROV or “height” of the ROV.

On the first image, the VPS is mounted a little bit forward for proper trimming when there is not an FLS (or other device) mounted in front to balance the weight distribution.
