Correct, those parameters won’t effect your script based control, I was just pointing out they were available as an alternative to scripting at all - still chasing an understand of what the application is that makes custom control necessary!
Mavlink messages from the vehicle are sent as quite a firehose of data, so how your parse and throw away what you’re not using will affect the rates /latency your script will send and receive data at. This thread may be relevant!
