Hello, all. I would like to know the sound level of Ping360 for solving a safety problem. I notice that the sound level of Ping1d is 198 dB re 1 uPa @ 1 m. Does the Ping360 share a similar sound level with Ping1d? Thank you very much.

I don’t believe we have a similar measurement for the Ping360, but I’ve asked internally and will get back to you if there’s a response.
The Ping Sonar and Ping360 do not use the same transducer, and operate with different beam widths and frequencies, so they should not be assumed to have particularly similar sound characteristics.

But I notice that there is also mechincal index(MI) should also be considered when discussing the safety of ultrasound. The calculation of MI (MPa/sqrt(MHz)) should know the sound pressure of the sonar. I noticed that the power of ping360 is 5 watt and assumed that all the power is used for wave generation during the calculations. To obtain a more accurate value, I write this post to ask the question. It will be grateful If you can solve my problem. Thanks a lot!
