4k cam 'one push white balance' not working

I have found that the joystick bind for “one push white balance” does not do anything. I have left it as default, as Shift + button 10 (left stick press), I have tried both “4K Cam One-Push White Balance (192.168.2.10)” and “4K Cam One-Push White Balance (All)”, to no avail. If I click the button within the 4k cam cockpit widget, the function works.

Hey Marcus!

Can you attach a log with the try? It should show us if the action is being triggered or not.

Of course, see below :+1:

00000046.BIN (3.0 MB)

I can confirm that we experienced the same during survey yesterday. Button bind appears to not work but extension button functions correctly. One thing I noticed was Cockpit requested to add the action again when opened, despite being added previously.

My bad Marcus, I forgot to mention I needed a Cockpit log, not an ArduPilot one

@mattcmgb thanks for mentioning it. Will try to reproduce the problem here as well.

Just to make sure, are you using 1.18 (stable) or 1.19 (beta)?
If you can add a Cockpit log as well, that would help a lot.

These @rafael.lehmkuhl?

Cockpit_Data_Log_2026-10-06_19-45-35.json (42.8 KB)

These logs should be from a dedicated quick boot up, with lots of “4K Cam One-Push White Balance (All)” from joystick, as well as focus and zoom (which both work)

Marcus, my bad again. I will try to be more specific from now on since we now have different types of logs in Cockpit (Data Lake logs, MAVLink Dump logs and System logs).

The one I need is a system log. You can download it from /menu/settings/dev.

No problem, I’ll get you the logs when back tomorrow.

@rafael.lehmkuhl more logs than a septic tank :joy:

Try this one for size.

Thanks a lot for the log @3dMB!

I was able to find the bug. It’s on the 4K Cam extension. I’ve opened an issue already and the team is working on a fix.

@3dMB @mattcmgb there’s a new version of the 4K Cam Manager extension in the BlueOS store (courtesy of @joaoantoniocardoso). Following are steps on how to fix the problem:

  1. Update the extension to the 0.3.4 version (on BlueOS: extensions/installed/update)
  2. Delete the old Action (on Cockpit: menu/settings/actions)
  3. Add the updated Action (on Cockpit: menu/settings/general/extension-features)

Let me know how it goes.
