Hi @Zamzam -
I believe the disks that funciton as the cleaning element on that large ROV are cavitation cleaners, which use very high pressure water (or air? ) to create bubbles that violently explode, cleaning materials off the aquaculture HDPE tubes or ship hulls.
This takes a large fuel-powered system on the surface, something like the materials offered here. Here is video of one in action!
Hello tony, yes i believe so. Its powered by high water pressure. I also got a caviblaster to combine with the rotary dics cleaner nozzle but we need the smaller rotary nozzle maybe 100mm cleaning area. If you have suggest for theproduct just let me know
Also if you take a look on this Video , there’s a moment of the cleaner huging the pipe, is it because the suction effect of the cleaner or there’s a linear actuator to do it?. I also got another thought about it that it stick to the pipe because of back pressure from the other side(cmiiw). take a look on this back pressure rotary cleaner.
Hi Jemjen, you might be able to buy or rent one from these guys. Are you trying to clean pipes or a flat surface like a hull?
When I worked at Ashtead I built these for ropes and risers. and these for mooring chains, but they were used for cleaning a lot of other things as well. They have a mini version now, but I think that would still be too much for a blue ROV. they’d need hydraulic power as well. maybe a smaller electric version like this could work with the blue ROV.
