Ticking noise and jittering from T200

Using T200 thrusters in a ROV boat for surveying, I have ran into the issue a couple times of an audible ticking and physical jittering from the thruster when a signal is sent via controller.

It has either been both motors or only one, could never figure out the cause even though I have collectively spent days trouble shooting and looking up things online/on this forum.

The architecture of the ROV thrusters is as follows:

12 Channel 2.4Ghz Controller
:
Telemetry module
:
Cube Orange
:
BR Basic ESC
:
T200 Thrusters

Couple of things I have already done to try and fix this issue:

  • ESC calibration
  • RC Calibration
  • Checked PWM output from Mission Planner

Hi @Koji -
Please try adjusting the Servo 1 and 3 (assuming you’re using differential “skid” steering) Servo_Trim parameters - the jittering can occur when the ESC is given a very low PWM value, and it does not trigger full rotation of the motor.
