We recently switched to new connectors Bluetrail and soon realized we needed to find a way to quickly release the cable.
Maybe you find this solution interesting for your application.

Hi all,
I’m attaching .stl files for 3D printing, for both tether versions (regular and slim):
BlueROV tehter ROV mount.stl (308.6 KB)
BlueROV tether slim mount.stl (944.8 KB)
BlueROV tether regular mount.stl (819.6 KB)
BlueROV tether knob.stl (818.0 KB)
Additionaly, we used:
2 pcs. M5x25 flat head screw + M5 nuts, for the part that is fixed to the ROV
1 pcs. M6x40 (hex head) + M5 nut for the knob and tether part.
