Hello we are building an rov and are using a combination of t100 and t200 thrusters. The wetlink penetrators that work with the t200 doesnt seem to have a tight fit with t100, as the cable diameter is narrower. I was wondering what is the diameter of the t100 thrusters so we can figure something out. Thanks
Hi @n3804,
Are you able to measure the diameter with some callipers, or assume it’s cylindrical and measure the circumference instead using some non-stretching thread?
The T100 is old enough that I’m unsure we even have the details in a definitive sense. I asked internally and was told 6-6.5mm, and if you’re correct that the cable is narrower than the T200 model then that at least suggests that the appropriate WLP would be the M10-6.5mm-HC, which has a 10mm threaded bulkhead and a high-compression plug.
The original kickstarter lists a nominal cable length, but no cable diameter it seems. Our CAD model unfortunately doesn’t include a cable, so no help there either.
Hello, the diameter was around 5.85mm, the HC should be the appropriate ones right?
That’s within the 6.0±0.3mm tolerance range the WLP-6.5-HC is specified for, yes ![]()
That said, it’s still recommended to perform the checks from the How to Choose a WetLink Penetrator guide, to make sure the compression force is sufficient and not excessive.
