Our PING360 sonar registers as a device over USB on our VM very sporadically. We suspect there may be damage to the cable but do not want to cut the I/O leads internal to the sonar for a continuity check and have to resplice unless we absolutely have to. Are there nominal I/O leads to ground resistances we can compare to?

I’m not entirely sure what you’re asking here. If necessary it’s possible to open the Ping360, in which case you can access the other side of the wires for a continuity check without needing to cut anything.
