Running lights directly from battery

Hi everybody,
I am going to be running the lumen subsea lights direct from the lithium polymer battery (14.8). This is a for a simple drop cam setup. I am trying to devise a way to turn them on and off without having to mess with screws and terminal blocks while on a dock or boat.

Anyone know of a waterproof rocker switch or other some product that will allow me to wire up the battery, seal it at home, and then turn the lights on before I drop it in the water?

Thanks

Hi @jim_p -
The current rating of the Blue Robotics switch should be sufficient for this, assuming 14V at 5A (70 watts) is less than you’ll be using. If exceeding 5A, y ou could use the same switch externally, but have it trigger a relay, potentially mechanical or solid state?

5A would be sufficient for 4 lights at full power. If that’s insufficient and you’re just wanting to turn on/off the light(s), you could connect the switch between the lumen signal line and the power line, with the caveat that “turning off” wouldn’t completely power down the device.

I did not know BR made a switch. Thank you.

I am only using two lights so this is good news. Thank you.
