I’m looking to add a component which has an M14 thread to the standard M10 thru port. It will likely be temporary and not wanting to mess around drilling out the existing M10 hole in my end cap. Are there any step up connectors with an O-ring seal that take it from a M10 to a M14 fitment?
Could you clarify what the application is for this? Generally a component with an M14 thread has enough stuff coming out the back of it that it wouldn’t fit through an M10 penetration hole, so I don’t think this is something we’ve even considered attempting to make.
I believe we’re working on providing an M14 hole to M10 bulkhead thread step-down penetration connector, which could be used to install an M10 penetrator into one of the M14 holes in the BlueBoat hatch lids, for example. I can check up on the progress on that if that’s relevant.
It’s a custom element - only has a single connector coming in so no issues with the size of the penetration. It’s a proof of concept just now and I can only get the item in M14.
Maybe I will just have to look for a standard fitting for hydraulics or similar with a o-ring seal. Not sure if the time you are working on would work for what I need (depends on the male/female configuration I suppose)
Following up, I’ve confirmed internally that we’re not working on any kind of M10 penetrator to M14 thread adaptor.
I believe we typically recommend Swagelok fittings for pressure/fluid-related penetrations. Our WetLink penetrators are intended for cables with some degree of compressibility in the jacket.
