Lost control during dive

hello

we have a bluerov with altimeter, external thermometers (one blue robotics and one PT1000 Atlas scientific)

we use cockpit on windows11 computer, xbox controller.

After few minutes in the water at 20 meters wa loose the control.
The buttons and joysticks don’t make the good actions.

We have to reboot blueos to resolve. (reboot cockpit and the computer don’t work)

What could be the problem ?

thanks a lot

Hi @deny -
Sorry for the issue! To help, we’re going to need some more information.
What version of BlueOS and Cockpit are you using?
Can you share an autopilot log from the mission where things went wrong? Can you also download the BlueOS system logs (from the gear in the lower left of BlueOS) and share those as well? Both will let us review what may be going wrong. Thanks!

This is a typical issue I run into several times wirh cockpit. Heartbeat and manual Control lost after a few minutes of operation in water. Everythings updated, I will post the versions shortly.

Remarkable is the video does not interrupt. The stream is without any problems only controls get lost. If I switch to QGC I can continue the dive without rebooting the vehicle.

Cheers
Chris

@deny @schleitaucher can you open the “MAVLink Endpoints” menu in BlueOS and check which MAVLink Router is selected?

hello

blueOs 1.4.0
ardupilot 4.5.0
cockpit 1.15.1

how to send you the files ?

here are the files

hello

yes it is

Thanks!

Can you change it to MAVLink-Server and see if the problem goes away?

MAVLink-Server is Blue Robotic’s router, carefully written to solve the bugs we found with MAVLinkRouter and MAVP2P along the way.

when we change to mavlink-server, we have no connection with the rov.

should we change other parameters ?

Did you try restarting BlueOS and the vehicle after changing the router? It is a broad change, so it may need a reboot to work properly.

no better :worried:

On the “Autopilot Firmware” menu of BlueOS, does it says “No board running” or does it show a running board? And how is the heartbeat icon in the top-right corner?

Thanks for the screenshots.
Going back to MAVLinkRouter reestablishes the connection?

yes. it works with mavlinkrouter without reboot.

@deny I asked for the help of @joaoantoniocardoso, who’s the developer behind mavlink-server, to see if we can find the problem. We haven’t seen this problem before.

ok. i will connect tomorrow.

have a good day

Hi, could you re-download and send us the logs again? The previous logs were before this event.

Thanks
