Saw this thread. Super interesting. It prompted me to provide an update on where we got to with our own benthic imaging project. See: ROV-based benthic imaging - thoughts? .
Definitely +1 for trying out the Sony ILX-LR1. Let me know if you come across an appropriate enclosure for it. I put my BlueRobotics product wishlist at the end of that linked post… Short 4", 5", 6" tubes and a non hemispherical, larger diameter dome (or flange for compatible dome supplier).
