The T500 can run continuously at 24V, however it is not recommended to operate at 1KW power levels indefinitely. What is your application, use in an ROV?
Yes, we are using it in an ROV. Our system runs up to 4.5 kW total. At 24V, if we operate the thruster at around 80% power, can it run continuously for long durations? What is the maximum recommended continuous operating duration?

Yes, 80% of full power is a good value! There is no official recommendations related to continuous duty operation, but users in terrestrial aquaculture have been running them 24/7 without issue!
Suspended sediment, especially if composed of magnetic particles, is the biggest potential risk for shortening the lifespan of the thruster.
