GNSS time sync on the blueboat PI

Hey, I’m looking at ways to get accurate data/times on the blueboat. I couldn’t find anything on whether or not the blueboat navigator pi is receiving a PPS/time from the GNSS used for navigation. Is that already happening/possible and if not, does someone have experience with that ? I would like to avoid adding a second GNSS on the BB just for time sync.

Welcome to the forums!
BlueOS will sync to your computer browsers time when you load up any page, or if it has internet access. It does not currently use the GPS for time sync. The GPS used on the BlueBoat does have PPS output, but it is not connected by default.

There are low cost GNSS NTP servers like this one: https://timemachinescorp.com/product/gps-time-server-tm1000a/

We’ve tried a couple of Chinese one for around $100. (before tariff). Also, if you happen to have a Starlink, it has a built in NTP server.
