Is it possible to connect the rov directly to pc with 5m ethernet cable without fathom x interface board??
Absolutely. No other changes needed. Just connect the ethernet cable between the RPi, and the surface computer.

Yes, direct ethernet connection at such a short distance should be fine, you’ll just need to find a way to waterproof the connection
Depending on your cable shape you may be able to use one of our WetLink Penetrators, but that would require you removing the connector from the vehicle end, and attaching it again once the cable had been passed through the penetrator.
