I am having trouble purchasing and using 50A ESC
Motor runs as soon as power is connected
Freeze when button is slightly raised on QGC motor test page
How do I fix this??

What ESC are you using? Its sounds like its not programmed to operate with bidirectional 1100-1900 μs signals, you may need to reprogram it.

You need to configure the ESCs so they can work in reverse. That is not the standard option in the RC world.
This video shows how to do it with an Arduino.
This is assuming you bought a 50A BlHeli_S ESC. A BlHeli_32 should work fine too.
