Connect Two Enclosures

Is it possible to connect two enclosures? We’re hoping to connect an acrylic enclosure and an aluminum enclosure together as we need to increase the volume but keep the rated depth. The internal volume of the enclosures would not be separated by any physical barrier between them, so they would be “sharing the same air.”

You would have to design/manufacture it, but it seems like it would be relatively easy to take the model for the o-ring flange that matches your enclosure diameter and mirror it around the outer edge, then it could slide into both tubes, it would narrow the diameter of the tubes at the connecting ends. If you want to let me know what diameter enclosures you want to use, I could easily model it for you, but you’d need a machine shop in your area or an online company to manufacture it. It would use the same o-rings/seals that currently work, you’d just need two of each seal for the connection or “coupling” flange. I would think that it would seal the same, because even though there would be no direct pressure on the center flange from one side like there is on a single enclosure, it would have pressure on both sides from each enclosure pressing towards the center line from the forces applies to outer caps of both enclosures.
