MCIL connectors are not cheap, at least in my pathetic currency. I designed this nice little cap to protect them.

It’s probably better to use a dummy plug for this, but this definitely makes sense as a low cost alternative, especially if you’re careful not to bump it too hard, and don’t mind the contacts getting wet.

This is the tether connector, so it is only for protecting it on the boat. Dummy plug had 6 weeks lead time, so a plan was made
Your T-thread in 3D files is well drawn.
We usually go with these two kinds of hats during ship(soft and hard). They’re easy to get.
Mine came with one of those but I immediately lost it. The satisfaction of those threads meshing perfectly makes it well worth the print. Also it does not fall off and disappear.
