BlueROV Cockpit Camera Stream feed

Hi,

I just downloaded Cockpit for customization of Ground Control Station, but it looks like the camera feed is the only thing that is not passed through .

Cockpit via BlueOS seems to work fine but the Cockpit installed on the laptop shows the following screen

I’ve tried matching the settings from web cockpit(Cockpit) to the software, and only difference I saw was the IP and in “allow webrtc remote ip…”

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @minskim88 -
What version of cockpit are you using?
Have you verified the video widget is set to stream 1? This is found by going to edit layout, and editing the video widget settings in the upper left…
Everything else looks correct in your screen shot!

Hi Tony,

It is Cockpit 1.16 installed for both cases on BlueOS web interface and on the laptop.

I should have mentioned more in details, The Cockpit in BlueOS is able to pick up the stream1 and is able to show video( image#1 attached)

Picture below is the setup on the install software on the PC. Along with error message (image #2 from 1st post)

@minskim88 can you get us a screenshot of your general settings page? Menu>Settings>General.

Here you go. Another thought would be Firewall??

I guess I tried to turn off all firewall but still the same. Works on Web GUI Cockpit but not standalone

A wild guess: try removing that slash (“/“) from the end of the IP in the global address. It’s probably breaking the video URL parser.

Hmm. I guess I’ll give that a go. But have to wait til Thursday.

Also should have checked more carefully on the Web version if that had a / or not.

I’ve tested here and having this slash in the end indeed breakes the video link without breaking the telemetry link.

I also noticed there’s no way to save an IP with that slash in the end, as there’s a parser invalidating it when one clicks apply. Any idea how you got that in there? Did you edit it manually in the browser’s localStorage?

That was the default setting once Cockpit was installed. I didnt change any IP settings.

Except adding 192.168.2.2 to video config under “Allowed WebRTC…”

As the blueos web had that IP by default and installed (v1.16) on pc did not.

Will keep you posted after removing slash.

Good morning,

I removed the "backslash / “ as mentioned above and its working!

Thank you for your help!

Nice to hear that!

I’ve opened an issue about it in our repository so we can work on removing those ending slashes by default and prevent future problems.

Thanks a lot for the reporting!
