We are using the BlueBoat with 2 of these baterries: Lithium-ion Battery for the BlueROV2 and Other Subsea Applications . We have left the batteries that were around the recommended storage voltage connected to the BlueBoat which was turned off, for about a month. Now the full batteries are at 10.75V while the individual cells are at 2.7V
Ccording to the technical specs of the battery , minimum safe voltage is 12V and 3V per cell. We are obviously below that.
However, there is also the cell data sheet linked on the battery page: https://bluerobotics.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/INR18650-30Q-Data-Sheet.pdf It lists 2.5V as “end voltage” and we are clearly still above that.
The H6 PRO Lithium Battery Charger does not complain and charges the batteries.
–> So, at the mentioned voltage levels do our batteries count as overly discharged with the consequences listed in Blue Robotics Lithium-ion Battery Guide or did we evade that situation by the skin of our teeth?
Also, what could be the reason for that drop in voltage with the BlueBoat turned off? Are there still components that remain powered?
