2" 2x 10mm enclosure endcaps -- possible to drill one out to 14mm?

I need to reversibly combine two 9.7mm cables. I was thinking of using the smallest locking enclosure, but there are no 14mm penetrator holes offered. Would it work to drill one of the 10mm holes out larger?

Hi @bens,

You could definitely drill a hole for a 14mm penetrator in one of the blank 50 mm end-caps, although note that doing so through an anodised aluminium one will result in some exposed aluminium, which increases the likelihood of corrosion, especially if you put a different material through it.

That should work for a single hole flange-cap, but possibly not for the multi-hole ones depending on orientation and what’s in the other holes. You should be able to check the rough fit using the included 3D models and freely available CAD programs, or if you have a specific setup in mind we may be able to check it for you.
