Video camera placement in dome end cap

@Rusty,

Can you place the video camera lens as far back as the base ring on the dome end cap and still get clear video capture? It looks like you have it that far back in the BlueROV 2.

Hi Richard,

The ideal placement is at the center of the dome. If you get close to the dome surface, the field of view will decrease quite a bit.

Any luck with your camera placement? My camera is slightly beyond the base ring, and everything goes out of focus when submerged?

Hi Team, what is the optimal distance from the underside of the dome to limit any distortion of the camera field of view?

We don’t have any concrete numbers, when we were adjusting the tilt mount it was a lot of manual adjustments on mount height until it looked about right.
