Thruster control, in water

Bit of a different one…

Im looking to use a thruster motor in some dive gear so need to be able to control it in water. Ideally looking to run the thruster commander board so ive speed and direction control but struggling to find a waterproof link. A waterproof dial would be perfect but struggling to find something.

Appreciate any input.

A thruster commander is mounted alongside its potentiometer, which is coupled to a rotary control on the outside - composed of the Blue Robotics switch and vent plug!

You could also look into magnetic encoders, in which case you could move/rotate a magnet on the outside of your enclosure to generate signals inside it.
