i wanted to drop in here a piece where we explore the journey of an oyster. oysters are a keystone species - we need them, or else everything else falls apart! around the country, sustainable hatcheries are raising millions of oyster larvae, while researchers use AI and underwater robotics to map reefs and track restoration progress. after these oysters make their way to restaurants and events, shells can be recycled and returned to the water to help rebuild reef habitat — improving biodiversity, stabilizing shorelines, and enhancing water quality.
