I need to measure and report the current speed of the ROV.
Does anyone have any ideas how to do this?
There’s a couple ways we have measured speed of a BlueROV2:
- Have a quadcopter follow the ROV that is just barely under the water. Get the speed reading from the UAV.
- Use a GPS mast that is out of the water by about 1m.
- Use an underwater positioning system: Water Linked UGPS
