Shell Ocean Discovery XPRIZE Tampa Deep-Sea X-plorers Update

Hello Rusty!

As you know our team is competing in the Shell Ocean Discovery XPRIZE and we have been working on our prototype for the competition. We wanted to share with you our first test of our shallow water prototype. We will use what we learn from the shallow water model to build our deep water version capable of autonomous operations to a depth of 4000 meters. So, here is the video link, enjoy and we are very happy with the performance of the motors.

Yeah, it turned out to be very stable. We use an internal counterweight for pitch control and that turned out very nice as well.

We have a 2 pound weight internally that we move to shift the center of gravity. The dynamic force on the dive planes does the rest.
