I need the ability to manage the direction and speed my kayak moves in based on wind and current. I would greatly appreciate any ideas on how to start tackling a project like this. I am an experienced woodworker with no programming experience and understand that my learning curve would be steep, but willing to invest time and energy to see where it goes.
