ROVSea custom ROV build introduction

I would like to introduce my custom built mini ROV project. I have already provided an outline of the project on another post, but I have been asked if I can provide the STL files for the build so I though I had better introduce the project in the Build category. For your info, and so I don’t need to duplicate the existing post, here is the background information already posted, including photos and video (please note enclosure dimensions were incorrect, they should be ID=75mm and L=240mm)

I am working on an instructions document (V1 attached) covering all materials and basic instructions on how to put the ROV together, and will upload it when it is in a useable state. The aim is to make the project open source and provide full instructions on Hackaday.IO.

BTW ROVSea stands for Remotely Operated Vehicle for Subsea Exploration and Analysis and it is part of a larger project being carried out by the Adelaide University located in South Australia. The ROV is designed to carry external sensors for monitoring water quality and internal AI fish recognition system (in a second enclosure mounted parallel to the main enclosure), and is part of an autonomous coupled system whereby an ASV (BlueBoat) provides control of the ROV via the tether. I won’t go into too much detail on the overall system but if anyone wants to know more, just message me.

Hello…

Thank you for the files.

When I try to assemble parts on Tinkercad holes for thrusters and holes in te aluminium template are misaligned…

Hi Jmlalou,

There are 2 different thruster housings, 1 set are for the hz aft thrusters and 1 set are for the vz thrusters located in the middle of the template. If you get them the wrong way around they may misalign - see diagram below for correct alignment. Let me know if you still have issues and send a screenshot as well.
